
VINNY FRANCO
Born in Saint Paul, MN, Vinny Franco grew up listening to R&B, Classic Rock, and Salsa music. He began singing and performing at the age of 9 and continued to learn various instruments and musical styles. He received classical voice training through Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. During this time, his original music was indie and folk influenced and upon graduation from high school, he found his passion for R&B, Funk, and Pop music. He began his professional musical career after releasing his breakout single .Dopamine., which garnered thousands of streams on Soundcloud and Spotify with no press or media coverage, connecting him with his first fans. Working alongside JFaye, a twin cities local music producer and Berklee College of Music graduate, Vinny has released over 20 singles. More recently, Vinny Franco's music has been influenced by 70's and 80's funk, creating a fun, energetic listening experience for his fans.
Since then, he has released other singles like Bebe Bonsoir, I Might Never Make It Back, and You Fucked Up My Whole Life which has received over 30,000 plays on Spotify and Apple Music. Vinny Franco's music has been featured in blogs around the Minneapolis area and his single, I Might Never Make It Back, was feature by Chaz Kangas on Go 95.3. He has collaborated with local artists including Yung Wes, Bloodline, Keny Grey, Amanda Yang, Sam Hill, Morgan McCarthy, Lexxii, Talon, Sun The Pisces, and Sumer.
Franco has performed at venues around the Twin Cities including The Underground Music Cafe, The Red Sea, Pimento Jamaican Kitchen, Hook and Ladder Theater, 7th Street Entry, and recently, a sold out show at Acadia.
Vinny Franco's goal is to connect with people through honest, emotional, uplifting, and most importantly, groovy music.
